Elje against the local brands
Side-by-side comparisons of a product sold in Australia and its Elje equivalent: the price gap, the spec gap and honest notes on which to buy. The first comparisons are being researched now.
How a comparison will be built
- Like for like: the same size, material, finish and hardware, or the differences listed line by line.
- The local price from the brand's own published price or a written quote, with the date and where it came from.
- The Elje price landed to site with freight, duty, GST and fees, labelled an estimate until a real order sets it.
- Compliance side by side: WaterMark, WELS, glass and electrical, where they apply.
- Warranty side by side: who fixes it, for how long, and where they are.
The honest notes
- What you give up buying from a factory: a showroom to visit, a local warranty desk, a shorter wait.
- When the local product wins, the page says buy local.
- No comparison against a product we have not checked.
Fair to the brands
Every page will be dated and its sources listed. If a brand believes we have got a price or a spec wrong, they can tell us through the contact form and we will check it and correct the page within five business days.
