Consent to introductions

What you agree to when Elje introduces you to a factory or partner, in plain words. A draft awaiting lawyer review.

Awaiting lawyer review

Draft for lawyer review. This page is written in plain words so the lawyer has something to mark up. It is not yet the agreement, and nothing on it binds you or Elje until the reviewed version replaces it.

The privacy and Spam Act wording in particular is for the lawyer to settle.

When we ask

Twice. On the estimate form you agree that Elje can contact you about your project. Before any introduction, you choose the factories and partners and agree to be introduced to them. Nothing goes to a factory before that second step.

What we share, and with whom

  • Your name, email, phone, the site suburb, your plans and selections, and the parts of the Project Plan that factory or partner needs to quote or do the work.
  • Only with the factories and partners you chose.
  • Factories are in China. Your details will leave Australia, and Chinese privacy law is not the same as Australian privacy law. Each factory signs an agreement with Elje to use your details only for your project.

What they can do with it

  • Contact you about your project: quotes, drawings, production, inspection and shipping.
  • Nothing else. They cannot add you to a mailing list, sell your details or contact you about other products without asking you first.

What you should know about the money

  • The factory you order from pays Elje 5% of your order, and of repeat orders you place with it for 3 years.
  • The forwarder, broker and installer we introduce pay Elje a referral fee.
  • Every one of those is printed on your quote.

Taking it back

You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@elje.au. We stop introductions straight away and tell the factories and partners to stop contacting you, except about an order you have already placed. Every email from Elje has an unsubscribe link.
